Fishing Licence

Don`t forget that if you are aged 12 years or over then you need to renew your fishing licences to fish from 1 April onwards. The rod licence fee from the Environment Agency has been pegged at the 2013 prices which is great news. You can get the licence at a Post Office or direct from the Environment Agency via the Agency`s web site.

Don`t get caught without a licence and most years the Environment Agency enforcement officers are out checking licences in April and in particular during the Easter period

WIndermere Ambleside and District Angling Association

High Newton and Ghyll Head Reservoirs plus the newly acquired Bigland Fishery have all received their first injections of quality Trout and are fishing very well as is expected at this time of year. Get out and try them as with this milder weather the fish are taking not only lures but natural flies such as buzzers, GRHE etc. Well worth having both intermediate or slow sinking lines plus floating lines with you to take advantage of any warmer spells during the day when the fish will come up higher.

If you can`t handle the casting of your sinking lines then book a couple of hours casting instruction with us and let us show you how to cast these lines effectively. Contact us on 01539 733297 or 07886 817770.
